Best of Staffing

What better way to start off our monthly newsletter than saying a big THANK YOU to our external colleagues! Did you know that this is the second year in a row Brilliant has received the Best of Staffing Talent Satisfaction Award? Only 2 percent of all staffing firms in the U.S and Canada have won this award, and Brilliant has won it twice! The survey results show that close to 70 percent of our working candidates scored Brilliant a 9 or a 10 out of 10 which gave our firm an average score of 8.3, above the staffing industry average of 7.7. Further, we received a Net Promoter Score of 52.3 percent which is significantly higher than the staffing industry average of 21 percent. It is awesome to see that our external employees enjoy working with us just as much as we enjoy working with them. We always want to make sure we are creating a positive experience for our employees. Candidate Appreciation Night

The Brilliant Financial Staffing team in Chicago hosted Candidate Appreciation Night at Rock Bottom Brewery on March 9! It was an awesome turnout, and the staff had the pleasure of meeting a lot of our past and current employees in person. For those of you who joined us, we hope you had a great time as well!

Throughout the year, we will continue to host these events at different locations, so look out for coming emails about future Candidate Appreciation Night events. 

Candidate of the Month

Nick Averwater is a Recruiting Manager in our Chicago office and has been working at Brilliant since September 2016. This month, Nick recommends Candie D. for candidate of the month.

Candie has been working with us on an opportunity since mid-January and has already left a lasting impression! Not only has she had early success in her role, but she flawlessly entered an industry that she had no prior experience in. Hot Topic: Email Etiquette

Before and after a face to face interview, you are on the phone and emailing a recruiter to schedule and debrief. Did you know your email etiquette is just as important as the interview? No matter the size of the email, you have to keep in mind that a recruiter will take your email etiquette into consideration. In the past, I have seen some interesting emails with improper grammar or one word answers. It really makes you think differently about the candidate you are about to hire!

Networking Webinar

Yesterday, Brilliant presented a webinar on best practices for Networking. My definition of networking is really about making your job search more sociable. You have the opportunity to talk to a variety of people when you’re networking who could lead to your next role. It is important to note that a networking event may not directly lead to an interview, but it can lead to a connection who might ultimately know someone who might be hiring for your dream job in the future.
